Warranties – Claim Procedure

WARRANTIES

CLAIM PROCEDURE

The steps to follow when claiming a warranty are as follows:

1. AWARENESS

  • Bring the case to the attention of TurboMaster ┢ , explaining the reason for the claim. This notification must be made within 2 months after the breakdown has occurred (art. 9.4 law 23/2003).
  • Send the complete turbo for verification of the warranty. (In the case that the sale is of a cartridge, the complete turbo must also be sent for verification of its correct assembly and calibration of the valve).
  • Attach the documentation related to the sale (Invoice, delivery note,…).

No warranty proceedings will be initiated until these three requirements are met.

2. VERIFICATION AND WARRANTY CONDITIONS

  • No warranty claim will be accepted when the turbo is disassembled or any part has been tampered with (e.g., valve pressure change, turned shells, etc.).
  • No warranty will be accepted when the breakage is due to a cause external to the turbo (such as flow meter breakage, loss of nuts or washers when changing the air filter, lack of engine compression, broken valves, exhaust manifolds in poor condition, clogged hoses, poorly placed gaskets, use of liquid gasket, engine oil leaks,…. ), bad assembly or assembly of the turbo in an application that does not correspond to it.
  • Lack of proper maintenance of the vehicle (not changing the oil, filters, etc.) also voids the warranty.
  • All turbochargers and parts for sport or tuning applications lack warranty.
  • The warranty will only be accepted when it is due to a material defect of any component of the turbo or a bad assembly.

3. TERMINATION OF WARRANTY

  • In the event that the warranty is accepted, the turbo will be repaired and returned to the customer repaired at no additional cost (art. 5.1 and 5.2 law 23/2003).
  • The warranty period is 2 years from the delivery of the new turbo or part, and 1 year for reconditioned turbos and parts (art. 9.1 law 23/2003).
  • The repair period shall be as short as possible, in order to leave the turbo in perfect condition (art. 6b law 23/2003).
  • In the event that the warranty is denied, the turbo parts will be returned together with an explanatory report.
